After a weekend of physical work creating tangible, physical artifacts, going back to solving purely digital problems is going to be hard.
It's got me considering the word 'creative' - I usually think of it in terms of making new artistic decisions, new ideas and aestheticsand designs. In the strictest sense of that, very little of this project has been my own 'creativity'. It's all adaptation of existing art; the only choices I made unprompted were fonts and the curve of the lid.

And yet, this feels infinitely more creative than anything I've done in a long while. I am making beautiful things. I am turning bare wood and oil into tangible, functional, and pleasant artifacts, and that is pure and good.
