As the con was winding down, someone flagged me down in the hall. Her teenage daughter had recently transitioned, they'd uprooted their lives in the Southeast to get her to a safe part of the country. After seeing me, and other trans women, visible and confident in a professional setting, she feels like she has a place in tech or in infosec.

Everything has been worth it just to hear that.
