I've been part of a Sex Workers Behind Bars penpal program for a little while now, exchanging letters with two people currently incarcerated in the US. One thing I've learned is that just having someone non-judgemental to listen, even if they can't relate to what the person's going through, can make a huge difference in the isolating, dehumanizing environment of US prisons. @coralin yesss i love coop! 100% not sure how i'd afford uni without it. until now i've been in my home town or uni town, but i'm doing a coop in montreal this summer. super excited! (but also scared because ahhh new things and i don't know anyone there)

@coralin oh that sounds cool! I have coop in my program so I'm hoping that if I try enough things, something will stick. Right now, big infrastructure/civil-related work things sound cool because i'm into the whole Social Responsibility of engineers thing.
