I followed a bunch of people on here when I first joined but only like 3 of then are still active so upon returning my TL is just devoted to a very small handful of strangers and it feels almost invasive
@mike ooh - no! It's both! If they weren't strangers, that'd resolve the issue too! This is absolutely a multiple-distinct-causes problem.
@mcccclean I kind of want to see a graph of your relative unease level mapped against increasing numbers of friends and/or strangers.
I don't know why, I just think it'd be an interesting graph. 😀
@mike it's pretty much a step function! I think there's a critical mass at which it just goes from "these specific people" to "a crowd".
@mcccclean so it's not that they're strangers, but it feels like there's not enough strangers involved?
