Today the cats decided they were prepared to share the same couch cushion - first time since I brought them home from the rescue centre.

Waking up on Thanksgiving and feeling grateful!

I am really tired of not being able to sleep.

Kind of a sad and frustrating day...but maybe going out to eat will make things better!

remember that if you are on public transit when a fare inspector comes on and you can risk police interaction, a simple "hey, why aren't you checking mine" can waste their time at worst (so they can do less in a day) but has the chance, esp if the rest of the bus joins you, which you can often cause to happen if you talk about them wasting your collective time for targeting people who are marginalized

There's a spot at work where someone usually writes riddles, and some have been great, but today I saw this:

what has 4 letters, sometimes has 9 letters, but never has 5 letters

It took me a while but I literally lol'd when I finally understood.

Bought a SAD lamp. I guess this is what I get for moving to Portland.

I'm pretty good at repairing (I replaced the battery in my HTC M8, which is notoriously difficult to repair) and fixing mistakes/holes/weird spots in or objects. I'm also mildly OCD and spelling/grammatical errors leap out at me from the page and hurt my eyeballs, so I make a good . Currently located in and happy to either fix stuff myself or talk you through it.

Hmm. That's a good idea. It'll certainly keep the rain out of my eyes, at least. The rest of my face I might just have to deal with getting rained on.

I have rain pants and boots and a raincoat and waterproof gloves, but I can't figure out how to keep the rain out of my eyes and especially my face while I'm bike riding. It's really annoying and unpleasant, and since I don't have a car I think I'm gonna have to get creative and figure this out.
