Dannngg 20-year-expired film does *not* want to go onto the developing reel.

It was so pleasant and early-spring over the weekend, and now we’re getting 2-4” snow. 😠

@Loop There's plenty more... but as you get a feeling for what you want to do we can give you more specific advice. :)

@Loop Interesting! A month is a decent amount of time to see a little bit of a lot of places, or a lot of a few places.

Summer is the busy time for most of the National Parks. They tend to be crowded. I think some need reservations. However, if it's likely to be your only chance to see it, I would definitely go to the Grand Canyon.

Expect to spend a lot on gas (check gasbuddy.com/USA for current prices). The cost/gallon may be lower than you're used to, but the distances can be huge.

@Loop That's a really hard question to answer. How much time do you want to take? How do you feel about very long drives?

I've worked on a lot of video for stock, and it's always weird, surprising and funny to see a clip I recognize "in the wild".

Genealogy is really all about discovering the sexual history of your great-x-*n*-grandparents.

Perhaps it’s the extra strong martini fueling my reaction, but I roll my eyes *and* shake my head at the person who posts very specific questions about land use in Normandy the Middle Ages with some idea that they’ve inherited some riches.

The good: it's straightforward
The bad: I hate forms

@KthulhuKat You could upload your result to GEDMATCH (which is a free service), to see what it says.

I'm not a user --- I'm only doing records-based genealogy, but the folks I know who do gene-based work all use it.

We’ve been gathering up supplies for months (years, if you count the faucet) to replace our kitchen sink, faucet, & disposer.

We did it this weekend, and everything works and doesn’t leak!

And it only took 2 trips to the hardware store :)

iTunes randomly gives me a segment of _Music for 18 Musicians_ followed by They Might Be Giants.

This is not a bad thing.

I would like to try living in a place where I could say, “I miss seeing snow.”

RIght now, with 10 inches outside and more on the way, I would have live in that place for a very long time.

tfw you start a new book and realize that you are never going to get into it because too many irritants in the writing pull you out of the story before you can get sucked in
