Can someone tell me what's so great about anime girls? I mean, I get that it's a nice aesthetic, but why do some people seem to spend so much time collecting and sharing pictures of them on the Internet? If they were porn or pinups, I'd actually understand the motivation, but what I see in my feed on Mastodon is mostly just cuteness. The people sharing these pictures seem to mostly be men under 30. I don't get the appeal.
