@Mainebot never feel guilty for engaging in . Get better soon.

@schestowitz
not too ashamed to get that paycheck

@starbreaker yes exactly. I think what's burns my britches is these folks are like now being sold to us as visionaries or folks who should be praised/listened to when my gut tells me that if you were one so easily suckered/blinkered into buying into the techno-utopia promises of Facebook or Google or Uber or whatever then maybe I might be wary of your insights and wisdom and moral compass today. Maybe you should sit down, shut up and listen to the concerns of others around you this time.

irony of reading toots at midnight. sipping some natrual calm and drifting and now to sleep..💤

@maiyannah @deadsuperhero
This is heavily dependent on your locality, but generally in the US (I'm familiar most with California) a psychotherapist is at least a master's degree holder and is licensed after many thousands of hours of supervised clinical experience. And typically in my experience GPs are severely lacking in any good understanding of therapy or psychiatry (why would they be?) and are thus not usually the best source for a referral.

So sad to run across a lot of negative toots about my . It's like yes, it's become this horrible monster of a place in the last 5-8 years and I get a lot of the crticism is rooted in the general criticism of tech, but that's what angers me more... That it has been taken over transformed and feels like it's onhe precipice of being spit out and found lacking by the very people who caused it to go to shit in the first place. Maybe that's a good thing, but it feels damn abusive.

Some folks on birdsite are tagging our project account in tweets like "hey jack twitter should copy this thing mastodon does". The idea that this is merely about features is short-sighted. Twitter will never, ever, ever be your friend. They are the shareholders' friend, not yours. No feature will let you see what their engineers are working on, what's under the hood. No feature will fix their headquarters in the US following and enforcing US laws and customs worldwide.

@apLundell
A miniture grandfather clock like Webster's..

Wondering if there are others here that never really got deep into that place with the birds and the checks and all that. I'm a little nervous I'm unknowingly breaking some unspoken norms. If so pls let me know. Y'all seem like folks so far and I don't want to be THAT person...
