@Nicktatorship @DarkestKale Well, for what it's worth, that art is orginally about a year old so...
@DarkestKale Weird feeling to basically have been inspired by someone you've never heard of...
@DarkestKale Oh wow. I've never heard of this artist, but a lot of his work is basically much better versions of the style of thing I've been drawing recently.
@DarkestKale Ok, firstly, that is a great little story.
Secondly, I've had almost that exact image in my head for quite a while, as something I wanted to draw one day (and as a key image in a DnD campaign I might run one day)
I wonder if I saw this and forgot it, or saw something else that also inspired this artist, or if it's just some weird synchronicity.
Illustrated another scene. Still plenty to improve on, but I like this one a lot. https://octodon.social/media/JUJBGHtPT5bR48ppoBI
@Fenreliania Thank you!
A thing I painted. Drew? Illustrated? Made. https://octodon.social/media/UK4pgZU2U6Hu2nKyH7k
@DarkestKale Oh! Yeah, always amusing to see what I get up to in another, dwarfier, life.
@DarkestKale If you're posting them here, I'll see them.

I'll leave you with one of the most important moments, also from Alex Steacy, from last year's Desert Bus.

It is the single greatest source of positivity and community for me each year.
Every year, thousands of people donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to make things less shitty for kids, and I'm proud to be a small part of that community.

Desert Bus for Hope starts this Friday.
Most years, I take a week off work to watch it (not this year, sadly).
"You're taking a week off work to watch a stream?" I hear you ask? Yes! But it's far more than that.
Desert Bus for Hope is a charity stream that has been running for 11 years now, and made over 3.7 MILLION dollars for Child's Play.
If you don't know, every year I work with the charity marathon over at https://desertbus.org/ to do a poster for the event, which raises money for children's hospitals.
As this nerdy week-long marathon happens (starting Nov. 17th this year!) I watch the entire thing and draw the silly stuff they do on stream to fill up the poster.
They're on their 11th year of doing this, and I've already started on the poster. You can see below the one I did for Desrert Bus 9, and the one I just started for Desert Bus 11!
Tune in, spread the word, and donate if you can. Or just watch, I have a tun of fun seeing it each year!
