Okay... private Mastodon instance up and running. Now I just have to figure out how to hack it up and create accounts without it asking for email confirmation, then automatically manage API access for the metabot. This is happening! My girlfriend might hate me by the end of the weekend, but it's happening!
Totally going to learn how to set up an instance, mainly because of my all-bot opt-in data service idea I had the other night. I won't even be on it.
Enough of printers and Chromebooks for today. Maybe I should, you know, eat something now.
What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall in the birdsite boardroom right now
Finished scrolling through NewsBlur. I still miss Google Reader. I was crossed so much by its demise that I ditched Gmail and started using Microsoft's email offerings - first Outlook.com and now I subscribe to Office 365.
I wanted my next vehicle to be a Ford since they didn't need my tax dollars to stay afloat back in 2008. However, their lackluster EV roadmap is pushing me in another direction.
Holy donkey balls, it's Friday!
Print server migration (mostly) complete. It only took a three hour conference call with the vendor.
This is nice to know if I ever ditch my iPhone and Apple Watch - I have a Pebble Time Steel sitting in its box in my room somewhere.

I bought one of these last week. It's pretty baller. I recommend it for anyone who regularly shoots video on their phone. http://androidandme.com/2017/04/reviews/dji-osmo-mobile-review-the-magical-smartphone-stabilizer/
Good morning fediverse! It's day 4 of spring break. I have a multi-hour conference call I'm not looking forward to this afternoon. But on the bright side, my girlfriend is crashing at my place tonight.
Disappeared for a few hours to go storm chasing. Positioned myself right in front of this beautiful rotating wall cloud near Elizabethtown, KY earlier. #weather

Also, over on birdsite, someone pointed out that before this year, the SPC hadn't used the high risk since 2014. Like I said earlier, today is the third time this year.
And just in case you need a primer on what the different risk categories mean: https://octodon.social/media/xB0Hnl67gynRYK3RBp4
