It's been so long. Here are a few things that have happened since I was last here:
- I moved.
- I got a new job.
- I'm engaged now.
So I can blame Scaleway for the temporary loss of my sweet sweet Mastodon? I'm happy to do that.

I'm finished with work for the week and it's time to eat all the BBQ back in the hometown this weekend.
My playoff beard survives! I was able to watch my Predators advance in the Stanley Cup playoffs from here in Ohio this afternoon.

This week's evening project: inventory of everything in my "Gym Bag-O-Consumer Electronics" and other gizmos and gadgets I own, all in a SharePoint Online list.
@Mainebot Yeah, this is x86_64 hardware, so you can install whatever edition of Windows you want (or upgrade S to Pro in the store).
I own a Chromebook and it's super nice for when I don't need to carry anything powerful. It has RDP and SSH apps and supports the VPN we use at work... so it fits a lot of my working needs.
@Mainebot At least devs can put Win32 applications in the store now, but that isn't going to help the average Jane who wants a cheap computer and perhaps needs to run a specific program for a class or something.
The Surface Laptop looks nice, but maybe before pulling this Windows 10 S stunt, Microsoft should focus on the fact that nearly everything in their app store is hot garbage.
I'm so accustomed to being hyper-connected to everything happening on the internet. These days I have a life outside that and it's almost like I fear what happens when I'm not online and around to see it.
Good weekend so far. I'm actually looking forward to work tomorrow... sort of.
Girlfriend is tagging along for storm chasing this evening. May the gods have mercy on our sanity... and may we see something interesting.
