Finished scrolling through NewsBlur. I still miss Google Reader. I was crossed so much by its demise that I ditched Gmail and started using Microsoft's email offerings - first Outlook.com and now I subscribe to Office 365.
@SteveJohnson At least none of the sites I follow have turned it off (yet). Engadget changed their default feed to excerpts a couple of years back. I complained on birdsite and they gave me the address of their full feed.
@kirkman are you okay over there buddy
@zoeclaire I think so! It's still spring break here so I'm one of the handful of people in the building at work. That's always nice!
@kirkman We use o365 at our medium sized organization and frankly administration can occasionally be a nightmare
@zoeclaire We're in one huge tenant with about 700,000 users. Kentucky is weird.
@kirkman our spring break was last month but it's still pretty quiet!
@kirkman Google reader was key to my website work. I found Feedly to be a viable alternative.
@kirkman Feedbin.com is a better RSS platform than Google Reader ever was. I'm really happy with it.
@kirkman I think the killing of Google Reader was the downfall of RSS. Had some other RSS reader dominated the market share, RSS might still be king.
