You should be able to do this with tmux. From there you are free to choose vim or emacs. Although some keybindings may require some re-configuring. And setting-up two user mode (ie: two cursors) may take a extra step.
I can't find the blog post I recently read that explained this but maybe this is enough new keywords that you can find the info you need?
