The company I work at is hiring.

Want to work at a sustainable webhosting company that cares about human rights, privacy, a open internet and all that kind of good stuff?

Have a look at our vacancies:

:boost_ok:

I just noticed the vacancy for Service and Technical Support Engineer links to the Dutch language text. This is not entirely accidental, since we have a large amount of Dutch customers, we require Dutch-language-fluency (only!) for that role.

I think we need to make that more clear for English speaking visitors though...

I have never worked at Greenhost, but I used their services quite extensively, and interfaced with them on a bunch of conferences (remember in-person conferences?... :blobaww: ).

They're good people, running (among others) eclips.is/

@WelshPixie :mandala: @Jesse @Jesse it is not clear to me, is the company hiring worldwide for remote work?

sent via xmpp to a friend who natively knows Dutch.

I know greenhost, and wish it all the best. I was considering using them for one of the projects.

Luckily this part is in the vacancy themselves:

For the engineer role we state:
Location: Netherlands-based is preferred for sporadic on-premise interventions. We can assist with getting a work permit, but cannot guarantee one.

For the Dev role we can be more flexible:
Location: Netherlands-based (we can assist with relocating and work permit). Potential for remote if within reasonable train distance from Amsterdam for occasional physical meetings.

@kingannoy Looks really cool, but I think I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic ocean. XD

@Angle

I think we have gone fully remote. But being able to come to the Netherlands physically, at least a few times a year, is a large plus. So I'm not sure how that will work with a literal ocean in the way :(

@kingannoy Yeah I dunno. I could submit an application anyway, but it does seem like slim chances.

@Angle
I agree. The vacancy does mention what we expect :

For the engineer role:
Location: Netherlands-based is preferred for sporadic on-premise interventions. We can assist with getting a work permit, but cannot guarantee one.

For the Dev role:
Location: Netherlands-based (we can assist with relocating and work permit). Potential for remote if within reasonable train distance from Amsterdam for occasional physical meetings.

So unless relocation is a option I don't think that will work. :(

@kingannoy I mean, I wouldn't terribly mind moving to the Netherlands, but somehow I doubt the company is going to want to deal with all the paperwork required for this. XD

@Angle
In that case you should apply! We've helped people move a few times before. I guess we must have gotten good at that paperwork 😅
