Did some deep work today that I've been avoiding for a long time because of its complexity. Feels good.

Hi Octodons. I haven't visited in a bit. Just breaking the silence.

Today I will enjoy the gift of life. I will do that and only that.

Made some crazy progress on the tea journal app I'm working on tonight after taking a break for a few days. Learning a *lot* about lots of little pieces of design and development. Made a breakthrough on a tricky problem I've been stuck on for about a week too. Feeling accomplished, time to rest!

Preparing for the tea's arrival like it's an honored guest or a beloved family member I haven't seen in years.

Fresh 2017 green tea arrives from China today :seedling:

I want a way to pick from several built in themes or easily add my own CSS to customize Mastodon appearance.

Wine, warm weather, winter is over.

:tea: I slept on it and the MVC organization of the tea journal app is starting to make a little more sense! A moment of hope!

Working on my tea journal app. At that point in the project where I realize it's more complex than I initially realized! On the very technical side, trying to figure out how the model/view/controller pattern should be organized in the Express app.

Bonjour, French Octodons in the local feed.

I spend half my time teaching programming and half my time doing programming. I have to constantly remind myself that teaching is valid work too, even if it doesn't feel as "productive" because I'm not making progress on an "actual project." It takes time and energy. I forget that almost every day and then feel frustrated when I'm burned out from it.

Working on a tea journal app side project right now. Will likely post updates to here as I make progress :seedling:

Music comes whether called or not—you are a function of the world, taking input, producing output. You are a method of beauty. You are an instance of the pattern that takes reality to make new reality. The pattern of standing around and accidentally writing a song.

So can I connect my account to an RSS feed or how to I make this the open magical retro internet tool I've always wanted
