Been thinking about the past lately. My Nth high school graduation anniversary is coming up (with N being smallish but no longer trivial).
I do *not* miss the intense social stress or the busywork, but some parts of high school were quite nice. I wonder how my feelings will change over the years.
(I do know that those who would describe that time as 'carefree' are clearly pod people who were never younger than 34)
@kaye It's called nostalgia. We old folks forget the social trauma and heavy course load so we can reminisce about the good old days when we didn't have to pay taxes and shop for responsible groceries. :p
