I know it's extremely not the point of the book, but I wonder what other states there are in Snow Crash. We hear about the corporate franchise-states and the somewhat more loosely-managed burbclaves, but you can't tell me that TROKK was the *only* attempt to establish an independent mini-country.
TROKK only collapsed because of a nuke, so
You can't tell me that everybody just went "a choice between a soul crushing corporate dystopia or a lawless gang warfare dystopia, sounds good to me"
