Been walking in the Odenwald forest. It is not very green yet. But it has soaked up the wetness of the late winter and is, apparently, ready to spring during the next fortnight. Here are some mossy rocks (which are evergreens anyway) on a forest slope glowing in the afternoon sun like gems.

Hey look! It is the ... thing ... stuff ... warmth ... light ... wossname ... sun! Hello sun! Long time no see!

Even after moving from the cool & wet balcony to the warm & dry living room, Britta the Banana is happily sprouting leaf after leaf. Keep going, Britta!

(I wonder what to do if Britta will reach the ceiling before moving back to the balcony in spring ...?)

Last night I created space.

Well, not in a strictly physical sense. I rather freed space in our appartment. I convinced my friend she could carry half a couch, took the other end and put the big old thing out in the street. It has been in my family longer than my humble self, but in the long run I felt it had to move on.

I have to admit it was comfy; so I had one last lie-down on it when it already stood there in front of the house.

We went walking in a quiet valley in the Odenwald forest today. In an old water-treading basin we watched small baby grass snakes. There is one on the picture, but it is hard to see. Moreover there were beautiful blooming foxgloves again!
