So i now follow #OpenBSD -current, and made some browsers benchmarks, especially because things have moved fast on Mozilla's side recently.

Here are #Firefox 61 (+26pts vs 59) and the still way faster #Iridium 2018.5 (+10pts vs 2017.11).

IMO, something is wrong with the alignment here (it's the boost confirmation dialog, in French) ^_^;

I wanted to add a dumb manpages completion to my OpenBSD's ksh, and this is how i generated a complete list of the installed manpages:

makewhatis -QDn | awk '{ sub(/\(.+/, ""); gsub(/, /, "\n"); print }'

Exploiting mandoc.db(5) directly may be faster, but anyway creating a 11k+ elements array in ksh is slow !

Received the BFB9K for my big #ThinkPad T530. Indeed it is a 3rd party battery, so i used thinkpad-ec (https://github.com/hamishcoleman/thinkpad-ec) to bypass the battery check.

It works! Now i'm wondering how long it can last with 9000 mAh :)

This is how it looks from the inside. It's broken everywhere and needed a serious cleaning.

The disconnected card is the modem card. That thing that looks like a RAM module is in fact the Intel pro 100 ethernet lan card.

Managed to get my siliconmotion(4) graphic card working with a custom xorg.conf.

I disabled kernel relinking because it takes too much resources, ntpd and smtpd to spare some megs of RAM.

I'm amazed about this low memory usage :) This is not very reactive, but it's useable !

OpenBSD crashes just after scanning the disks ^^

I removed the hard drive and now it boots successfully :|

That old Wheezy can't deal with modern TLS ciphers. I won't upgrade to stretch - it won't be able to handle it well with that amount of RAM.

Maybe I'll go with OpenBSD and many services disabled 🤔

That good old lilo prompt <3 It takes forever to boot - it's a Pentium III 650MHz with 64megs of RAM - it was 192 before but the RAM module was very faulty.

It should be #Debian Wheezy I guess.

Found my first #ThinkPad laptop in my belongings at my mom's house.

It's an iSeries 1171-L1G. Built in 2000. It was all plastic, i was young and careless, many things are broken.

I don't even know if it will boot, last time I used it was in 2013 iirc ^^

I <3 when websites are really responsive when given a reasonable width and height to work with. Gitlab is great for this. Mastodon isn't, it should go mobile with that width (that's 800px) :|

@thuban J'ai enfin corrigé le bug qui demandait un clic droit pour ajouter un hotspot public à /etc/owi.conf.

Maintenant, il y a juste à double cliquer sur le point d'accès et ça se configure puis connecte, comme nm-applet ^__^
