Iโve been playing around with Keybase (https://keybase.io) again. While itโs still pretty nerdy in terms of knowledge requirements, theyโre doing some interesting stuff with encrypted file sharing.
If youโd like to try it out, Iโve got invitations to share. Just message me your email address.
P.S.
If you believe their โWeโre making this simple for everybody!โ message and still find yourself confused, youโre not alone. Theyโre kind of oblivious to that gap right now.
@jason It definitely looks like a step in a more usable direction than PGP/GPG, but it's still got a long way to go before it's ready for lay-person use.
@jason Maybe it was someone else, but I'd heard they might be getting into the chat/social space as well?
@judges119 itโs there! Chat is a part of their apps, and it works great. Plus, file sharing has a social component in that I can share a file with anyone I know from Twitter, Reddit, etc. When I set up a folder, I can call them up by any of those identities, and they get it.
