This may be true,
@eq like why wouldn’t the OS persist its volume settings
@eq
Wait but why did it mess up the volume
@eq
If you restart a Mac in a forest, and no one is around for it, they will still hear it
@eq
The best thing about this sound is that its volume is not controlled by the operating system, so it persists even when you completely uninstall macOS
@eq
every time I restart my computer my machine blares its "I"M A FUCKIN MAC" sound
@ddipaola
It is incredible that you found this post from 5 days ago and faved it

For a long time I thought memorizing the Gettysburg Address was just something everyone did, and then once I quoted the whole first paragraph of it to a friend and she was like “who tf knows that much of the Gettysburg Address”
@eq
Once, in middle school, I was reciting a the Gettysburg Address (the teacher was notorious for making all his students do this), and I was given this piece of criticism:
“You have a great speaking voice, but you clearly did not study.”
Kinda reminds me of that thing I saw with a person asking Wendy’s for a frostie if he got x retweets or whatever they call those. “Yeah we’ll pay $5 for a massive marketing campaign and act like we did it out of the kindness of our hearts”
Seriously underestimated the power of “if this post gets 1,000,000 likes my president will buy me free tuition”
It was kinda funny how Obama made that change.org site and said all the ones with 100,000 votes would be addressed
Petition to call small ebooks internovellas
@dr1ft
I used to name them after what I imagined their personality to be, so for example, I used to have a netbook called whisper and an old tower desktop called bulldozer. Then I got Macs and their lifeless frames have been labeled things such as Jordys-MacBookPro

The Singularity Is Near (No, Really This Time)
@gaditb Might you say that hype about Moore's Law doubles in absurdity every year?
Holy FRICK I just saw Moore's Law expressed as "Technological innovation in the digital world will continue to double every year".
We are at WHOLE NEW LEVELS of this 50-year-old marketing hype.
