We need a package manager for package managers
I know Perl's package manager is supposed to be iconic or something and I'm supposed to know what it's called but I honestly don't care and Perl sucks
@jordyd the package manager itself is not iconic, the package repository is
mostly due to its sheer size and completeness
imo now rivaled by npm
@jordyd It's called CPAN, and Perl was OK if you didn't want to fuck around with sed and awk but didn't know about Python.
@starbreaker I have no problems with Perl as a sed/awk replacement, and honestly it probably does that better than Python
@jordyd npm -i -g npm
give the javascript community 5 minutes and you will have 7.
@jordyd I'm calling the police, this is madness
Is that dependency a Ruby gem? Is it a pip package? Is it a cargo package? Cabal? OPAM? Whatever Perl uses?
