I just love the variety of languages here on Mastodon, it feels like hanging out in an airport and catching passerby's conversations.
@jkb it's great to have embarking gates that lead you to chat with anyone around the world... It's amazing how people on Mastodon are excited to interact... It reminds of Twitter in its very beginning...
@DerBlaueMond I joined Twitter in late 2008 and I have the exact same feeling. Back then it was mostly geeks and other people eager to discover new things, and we were all excited to chat with each other across the world, and explore the public feed. I really hope Mastodon stays as open, curious, and respectful as it is now.
