(should I say "oh my Satan" instead of "oh my God" ? maybe)
@lopsigon Many (most?) satanists would argue that Satan isn't a deity per se, that it's a only a concept. Satan in that sense is more or less the will to live and the will to power.
But then again, that's also how I read the word "God" in the texts of theism religions. Jesus said "the kingdom of God is within you", I read that as "God is another word for consciousness, morals, ethos".
Of course this is open to discussion and interpretation, and that's the beauty of it.
@jkb Heh, yeah "god" as a word can mean whatever the speaker intends for it to mean. You really have to talk to someone to know their intentions. XD
Ahh, at the moment I was going with "an entity of greater power that I'm acknowledging and granting some status". I've been reading a bunch of Chinese and Japanese fantasy lately with stories that have hundreds/thousands of "gods" and people/animals can become "gods" if they accrue enough power, so perhaps that meaning leaked over in my reading.
@jkb You should say "oh my sweet Satan".
@jkb Satan is not your god? 😜
