I finally got to read the comics I bought at Emerald City Comic Con, and one of my favorites is Parallel Lines, from @cjjoughin and The Gorgonist. https://tapas.io/episode/760868
It's about queer guys in Portland in 2002 who help out unhappy ghosts. And the ghost in an arcade game who falls in love with one of them. Can't wait for more!

I've been listening to a lot of queer Chilean electronic pop music lately, and now I never want to stop. Thanks to Radio Menea for sending me on this journey! https://radiomenea.com/

Every year, thousands of German people get together and act out what they think it's like to be an indigenous North American. It's all based on German novels from the 1880s written by someone who hadn't visited North America.
A very good piece about the difficulty and necessity of intersectionality. http://blog.franchesca.net/post/171756443857
I definitely did not know about Josephine Baker's attempt to create her vision of all the peoples of the world living together in harmony within her own household.

I was already kind of interested in feminism when I first read it, but it was this article that made something click in my head. It immediately made the whole topic so much relatable and understandable to me, and it inspired me to check out other women's experiences. I hope it has the same effect to you.

Today I realized that I cannot expect people on the Internet to have heard of the Geek Social Fallacies any more.
The Geek Social Fallacies are five things that geeks often believe about How Socializing Should Work, that cause a lot of conflict. I've found them to be pretty useful as a way to put a handle on certain concepts, and maybe even avoid going into bad situations.

(Looking at them in 2017, I find myself wondering how many of the GSFs the design of most social networks is running straight into...)
Spent my Valentine's night in a temple with David Lynch (as you do). Naturally, when someone asked for music recommendations, the answer started with traveling to the country of Georgia and eating a meal at a restaurant...
Content isn't "free" when there are ads. The longer I work in advertising, the more this idea that content w/ads is "Free" bothers me. It's not free at all. You're paying for it with your time and attention to sponsored content, and how that content then drives you to take actions. It's not "free."
#28Stories Day 4: Mary Ellen Pleasant
http://28storiesproject.org/4-mary-ellen-pleasant/
The #28Stories project pushes beyond by celebrating. commemorating, and teaching the stories that aren't being told. By featuring a different story each day of the month, #28Stories challenges us to think beyond what we already know, and learn more about what we've been missing.
