While writing mine, I realized that hashtag posts are totally the 201X equivalent of LiveJournal interests lists. So much of the fun was following those links to find other people and I made several in-person friends that way.
I curated the crap out of my interests list and I always loved when an interest turned from unlinked plain text to a hyperlink because someone else had added that interest. Like "Someone's at the door" (CW: 1995 horror broadcast TV show) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCAjFhY_YOA #nostalgia
