We got kind of a late start and it got dark on us. Luckily I had a flashlight in Marlon's (my running partner/dog) backpack (he loves wearing his backpack).
But we got in a groove and I didn't want to stop. Our furthest distance this year. Just shy of a 10k.

@jdb the dog in my profile photo is stormy he's one of our other dogs. he's fat and lazy, he wouldn't be able to make it 6 feet much less 6 miles. i think i posted a picture of marlon a while ago. if not, here he is: https://octodon.social/media/nfRSyjJxoW_vaWTlmqI
@jdb if you want a running partner, we have a foster that looks just like marlon. she's super sweet, but high energy and with work i think would make a great running dog. she looks just like him, but (as far as we know) they're not related.

@jdb yes. he is awesome. i love running with him. he was a foster through wake co., then he went to rescue we volunteer with. he was available for adoption, but he just acts stupid at adoption events. so we ended up just adopting him because we knew how good of a dog he is. he actually helps us with our other foster dogs. he has rehabilitated so many dogs, and has saved a couple dogs lives (long story).
