I'm kind of psyched by the idea of making a dual purpose diy water bath for both film developing and sous vide cooking, Alton always said no unitaskers in the kitchen
@jasonsteakums you'll reconsider after smelling the film developing chemicals, they're so gross
@jasonsteakums I'd like to hear more about this.
@josheikenberry There's a good set of instructions here: https://www.iamthejeff.com/post/33/how-to-make-a-diy-temperature-controlled-water-bath-for-home-film-development
I think I'd use a larger container than he did, there are big plastic ones made for sous vide. The extra water volume would keep temp even more stable, and help keep a second, inner container heated if I wanted to use one to keep photo chem bottles from sitting directly in the same container that might be used for sous vide.
@jasonsteakums Make it large enough, and you can also use it as a torture device.
"Do you expect me to talk?"
"No, Mr. Bond! I expect you to very slowly cook and tenderize!"
