Finally got off my lazy butt and started running again! Just 10 minutes today to ease back into it. Felt good!

Does the government even know what the internet is?

I got an email this morning from CRA that my notice of assessment was available. I went to go get it and ran into this page! Do they realize that the internet doesn't close at midnight?

To add insult to injury I didn't get to this page until AFTER entering my login information, and answering additional security questions. If you're going to have operating hours for a website, at least at least tell me BEFORE you make me log in! ๐Ÿคฃ

Note to self:

When making pad thai at home don't 1) forget half the ingredients and 2) over cook the rice noodles turning them into a mushy, pasty mess.

Oh well, next time!

Had some time on the weekend so I wrote some code and messed with the generation rules to see what else would pop out. Here are some of the ones I thought were most interesting.

Went and saw the new Cirque du Soleil show (Volta) last night. It was great.

I was never on that level but I used to enjoy being on stage and doing my thing. Sometimes I miss it. Sometimes I don't it. Sometimes I wish I'd never run off to be a performer. Sometimes I wish I'd never come back...

Life is weird.

Popcorn or ice cream?

The eternal struggle continues.....

Math problem:
When your "recreational" viewing for the last three days consists entirely of mathematics lectures, you might have a math problem.

Side note: I'm really digging Category Theory

To get better at writing, you need two things:

1. A desire to get better at writing.

2. Writing a lot.

There's more of course, but in the end it boils down to those two simple things. All the advice and techniques boil down to that in the end.

In animation school we called it pencil mileage. Buddhists I knew said study and practice were much more effective when combined. You don't need Clarion or Reddit or whatever, just those two basic elements.

Please ask for help when you need it. Don't ever let anyone shame you for needing/asking for help. There is nothing shameful about needing help.

Your health and safety is more important than false ideas of social standing.

If I didn't ask for and accept help from people, I wouldn't be alive right now. I'm still far from okay, but I wouldn't be here.

Help others as much as you can. Ask for help when you need to. We are in this together.

And so begins the weekend of nothing!

I often end up doing nothing on the weekend but this weekend I'm doing nothing ON PURPOSE!! Makes all the difference in the world ๐Ÿ˜

The Rube Goldberg machines from PythagoraSwitch are always great, but this one has a story as well, which makes it 100% cuter.

Came across this yesterday: Professor Frisby's Mostly Adequate Guide to Function Programming.

Pretty decent introduction to using .

Seems to be a work in progress, 10 chapters so far.
