I’ve been playing around with Keybase (https://keybase.io) again. While it’s still pretty nerdy in terms of knowledge requirements, they’re doing some interesting stuff with encrypted file sharing.

If you believe their “We’re making this simple for everybody!” message and still find yourself confused, you’re not alone. They’re kind of oblivious to that gap right now.
@jason It definitely looks like a step in a more usable direction than PGP/GPG, but it's still got a long way to go before it's ready for lay-person use.
@judges119 agreed. However, their file sharing function built into their native apps is superb!
@judges119 it’s there! Chat is a part of their apps, and it works great. Plus, file sharing has a social component in that I can share a file with anyone I know from Twitter, Reddit, etc. When I set up a folder, I can call them up by any of those identities, and they get it.
