“The billionaire boom is not a sign of a thriving economy but a symptom of a failing economic system,” said Winnie Byanyima, executive director of Oxfam International. “The people who make our clothes, assemble our phones and grow our food are being exploited.”
No shit. Maybe revolutionary France had the right idea.
@starbreaker What a coincidence! I was chatting with friends about this very thing, inspired by an idiot president who doesn't know what Bastille Day was about, and wants a parade.
We thought an educational entry in such a parade should be a guillotine float. No town with even one millionaire should be without a parade with a guillotine float.
@jannamark I've always been a great fan of the guillotine
@jannamark cannibalism is the only ethical form of consumption under capitalism. 😉 eat the rich, the poor are tough and stringy.
@Boudicca Is it really cannibalism when they don't consider us human?
@jannamark arguable indeed. Free range rude, anybody? 😉
@jannamark No maybe about it. It's been tumbrels and guillotines time since 2008. We shoot looters on sight, don't we?
