@jannamark how do you get chocolate and mint in the same plant? (same question, though less enthusiastically, about lemon and thyme)
@DialMforMara In much the same way that zinfandel wine often has the flavor of raspberries and pepper. On a chemical level, the food item (mint, thyme, zinfandel) contains compounds similar enough in shape to stimulate the same sensory receptors in the same way.
