i want to block or mute people who make me feel uncomfortable here

often it's not their fault, but i have limited capacity for social interactions and dealing with other people's baggage (i'm recovering from abuse and mh issues)

i worry that if i mute someone, they might try to respond to me without knowing i can't read it

if i block someone, they might take it as a kind of condemnation i never meant

is there any kind of etiquette or solution for this?
