Thinking about other instances. I registered another account on another instance yet as an individual tooter, I can't really see a need. I don't have an inclination to spend lots of time to-ing and fro-ing between account instances.

A pretty quiet offline Easter so far. Blog maintenance with a new theme coming. Some server issues to address with the help of the hosting wizards, and that's about it. Usual service tomorrow :)

Noticing more and more emoji featuring in users' profiles, way beyond the fake 'verified' check mark. I just added one (a lightbulb!) to mine. I like this, adds some depth to a profile as you look at someone's and try to get a little more insight into that person. Starting to notice this on Twitter too. Gosh, is Mastodon influencing Twitter?

@jangles mastodon is only one of the software applications used to connect to the federation, the other software works differently. Behaviour of things like CW should be consistent across instances that use mastodon (as long as the instance updates to new versions when they come out), but may not be the same when using other software.

But does that work on every Mastodon instance? I'm sure I read somewhere that respecting CW isn't universal, depends on the instance.

Liking the CW feature in toots over an extended converstion - every toot is also behind the CW. That's pretty good.

While Pepsi will recover quickly, United's is without doubt an epic negative event that's hard to see what recovery for United will look like
