@jangles I thought is was pretty good in both cases, though I was slightly more 🤔 about Leia than Tarkin. Her complexion was just a tick too porcelain, you know?
After the fact I found myself wanting to know how audience members would have reacted if they hadn't known the characters/actors.
Like, we know Peter Cushing is dead, and that's not him, so we automatically go into hypersensitive mode. Likewise we know that's not Carrie Fisher (RIP).

@jangles That's interesting. I wouldn't have expected the reaction to be sure strong. While there were some quirks, I want out off by the virtual performers. Maybe my uncanny valley is narrower than some.
I haven't seen the Blu-ray version, but I did see R1 in the cinema twice.
