hey folks, what is a good book for teaching me the structure and theory of writing like, opinion articles/posts.

I have a feeling a lot of my imposter symdrome is a failing of my teachers and not my actual abilities, and my fears of my own writing are stronger than reality, but i would love a thing to read to learn about it

@nire The place to start is learning how to write a solid five-paragraph essay: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-p

It's not a perfect form, but it's good for learning how to frame and support and argument.

@jalefkowit i extremely do not want five paragraph essay stuff

@jalefkowit which is to say, I know things, but not the theory behind the actual forms -- like learning a language by just memorizing the words but not how they relate, or learning code by just brute forcing syntax
