"It's not safe to run an internet facing Windows box right now," a hacker who used to work in the US Department of Defense said to Motherboard.
I'm thinking this could be a good time to introduce your friends to #Linux.
I wrote a bit on why over on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/65gnkm/this_could_be_a_good_time_to_talk_to_your_friends/

I always wish that we could have nice things like liquid fluoride thorim reactors and space elevators and light rail systems for mass transit - but then I realize we'd rather have dancing with the stars and crappy rail service that would embarrass the 1870's

Tonight began with dodgeball finals. our team played decently, but we were eliminated in the first round. Then I was off to a Gothsicles and Squid Lid show. the latter puts on a very great performance, with some very cool blacklight masks.

All of my socks have apparently decided to sprout large holes this month. It's like a mass sock suicide.
Honestly its pretty great when children clock me. They often ask me "are you a boy or a girl?" or something similar, and I get to tell them "neither!" or "you can be whatever you want!" Their parents often try to make their kid stop talking to me, but I see the look of possibility in the faces of those kids. It's lovely to see.
Drawback of Spring Break and 9 yo being home all day: I get no work done. Benefit: He ran a game of D&D5 for me today. My PC saved a village of slug herders from being burned by fire creatures. Herding slugs out of a burning building is not easy.

It can be helpful to have a #translation #bookmarklet #tool to translate automatically from any #language to your primary one.
I have an English Google Translate bookmarklet, so if I am looking at a webpage in any other language and then select the bookmarklet, the page will automatically be translated into English. If your native language is another one, you can install a bookmarklet for it.

It's annoying because the study doesn't address the question everyone thinks it does. It's clear that most people are reading the press release, not the paper, and can't understand the science behind it.
It's a bad translation problem.
