The International Phonetic Alphabet should be taught in schools.

• would help learning foreign languages
• even just knowing about the sounds that they have is helpful for understanding other cultures
• no more awkward phonetic spelling when introducing someone's name
• I would actually know it and not get mad at myself whenever I see IPA

@impiaaa yes! i've been thinking about this a ton now that i'm learning mandarin and realizing all of the things i've been mispronouncing my whole life because i didn't know how pinyin worked
