I've heard so many good things about Rust, but goshdang it is not a language you can just pick up and expect to have something working in a day


like I thought I understood all the ownership and borrowing stuff, but I still find myself just throwing & onto stuff until it works. and like wtaf is a "mut: &mut"

another one: "response: dyn impl std::future::Future<Output = Result<reqwest::Response, reqwest::Error>>". this is of course necessary for any static type system with templates, but it's still annoying and I thought it was one of people's main complaints about C++
