A guy I'm seeing recommended I watch the German Netflix drama Dark, and the depiction of a trans sex worker caught me out of left field. That kind of stuff usually just disappoints me rather than bothers me, but maybe the fact it was recent, or they specifically picked someone with a deep voice for the English dub. (I have vocal dysphoria, but I accept some trans women have deep voices and don't care, but this was a decision by a cis localization team)

I'm planning on getting srs. But I'm realizing that I probably will want some kind of community to discuss concerns and stuff with. Is that mainly Susan's and /r/asktransgender? I'm not too active in those places, and sort of don't like the publicness of them.

None of my trans friends on discord servers have had srs. I'm tired of talking about it and then having to justify it over and over. And nobody knows anything firsthand.

It's nice getting to make friends with my electrologist but holy moly is it uncomfortable to sit on a table for an hour and a half and get a hot needle in each disrespectful pube on my shaft and scrote. Dang dysphoria.

I've done 3 hours so far. I have no idea how many more hours I'll need or how long I need for the hair to shift phases from dormant. But certainly beats having problems post-srs.

So what's the good witches.town replacement? I keep going back to octodon as I'm not sure which one is the most active...

Both Marvel and DC have played with the idea of superpowers emerging as a stress response rather than deus ex machina in freak chemical accidents or gifts from some higher power.

But do they ever explore how radical that would be for society? Most people with super powers would come from unsafe or downright abusive environments. There would probably be more superheroes in poor countries than rich countries, and more superheroes from marginalized backgrounds.

My intake forms for SRS mention I should send a "picture of [my]self" along with the forms. The same surgeon does minor facial surgery. That's gotta be for that, right? I just feel weird including a selfie with a document about below-the-belt surgery.

Going to enter a timed race with my company. I'm not out to anyone but hr. I'm 16 months into hrt. Per the rules of most timed races, I should be fine. But I'm scared I'll get our team an asterisk for some reason. I have until Friday to make sure it won't be a problem.
