@soft_chomps quirk of Spanish to English translation. It means "well fried" in Spanish. Pinto beans mixed with lard or oil and spices, and cooked and mashed on the stove.

@Rushyo The conclusion it had was that it's not enough for everyone but a racist minority to be apathetic about race to end defacto housing segregation. You need a couple people who want diversity. Otherwise, communities settle into homogeneous groups.
