I have a real philosophical issue with the way in which performance reviews are typically done.
@PW my boss doesn't even bother with them. He will complain at the time if there's a problem, and every now and then I'll ask for a payrise.

@hightower oh don't get me wrong: last year was objectively terrible and my attitude was really checked out, so there are valid criticisms to be made of my performance.
However, I still met my performance targets so there was some feedback that I take issue with.
