My biggest hope for today is that it's better than yesterday

Had a dream last night where I witnessed and then survived a tsunami on Lake Superior. Everybody survived, so that was great! Then I spent the rest of the dream trying to get back home.

On the plus side, I get to listen to the Girls' Choir rehearse Dona Nobis Pacem and they sound like angels

Today has been a big truckload of yuck

I think I'm going to go walk in the woods by the river for 15 minutes

Younger teen called/texted from school this morning saying she hates it and doesn't want to be there ever. Now the older teen is all out of sorts because of her teacher's feedback on an essay outline. I know I am supposed to be calm and patient and strong but I just want to be done.

Having to change some of the graphics in my course because the reviewers thought the clip art guy was giving them the middle finger 😆

Now I know why some cultures send their young teens away on a vision quest or to live with relatives. It's so parents don't completely lose their minds.

Seriously, this is worse than the toddler years, and those were tough.

It's morning here in Minnesota and I am going to have a productive day

Accomplished more today than I expected. After a nap I was able to do quite a bit for the guinea pigs, make/clean up dinner, watch SNL with the older teen, and put laundry away. Back to work tomorrow. Short week this week!

so when is it we occupy again? I missed it the last time around but I think I'm ready now. or are we all just too defeated for that now 😟

What's for #dinner tonight? Here it is pancakes, maple sausage, and clementines.

Soo, today's plans are going to have to be altered due to lack of sleep. I still want to try to sew some things for the guinea pigs, but mostly I predict I will lie in bed and play solitaire.

Seriously, all the crap I used to eat when I was younger, but 3 tablespoons of queso after 9 pm keeps me up all night with heartburn?

Getting old sucks

I am "can't have queso before bed or I'll be up all night" years old

What's for dinner? Here we're having "fancy" grilled cheese (swiss on sourdough) and tomato soup.
