still in my nightgown, eating chips and queso, living my best life
This is definitely a thing I am going to start doing right away! And not after I read all the toots I've missed in the past 12 hours!
Okay! I'm going to stop watching dog and baby videos on YouTube and get my act together! Sure am! Here I go! Right now! Yup!
This #mastodon thing feels a bit like irc in the 90s also stayed up quite a bit after saying goodnight then :)
oops I did it again Show more
I came here to eat queso and post toots and I'm all out of queso.
Does anybody have any queso, if so pls share
If y'all build your own Internet replacement can I tag along, I can't code but I could provide snacks and light banter
Please enjoy my new cereal, Mystery Flakes of Undetermined Sweetness
I started to stitch a new project last night (28 count evenweave) and I couldn't see it well enough to stitch!! So disheartening. I just got my new glasses or I'd have my bifocal increased. So now I am shopping for magnifying lamps 😩 #embroidery #crafts #gettingoldsucks
Driving Teenagers Around St Paul: The hfrazey Story
There's a squirrel in the yard frantically digging, trying to remember where they buried that snack this summer, and I've never identified more with any creature.
I once saw someone say that pixel art was the first truly masculine art form and to this day I carry my great grandmothers cross stitch sampler around with me so that in case I ever meet that person I can throw it at them
To continue the metaphor: it's kind to offer shelter under your branches, but if the person says that's not enough, you don't need to start cutting off your branches and handing them over. It's OK to say no (which could look like unfollowing/blocking, taking a break, not returning texts, etc.)
Reminder for today: It's okay to have limits. It's healthy to set boundaries. You don't need to take on other people's stuff, and you don't need to give your energy away and get nothing in return.
Don't cut off your branches and give them to people/causes who will only toss them aside. It takes time for branches to grow back, and you need them to live. It's OK to keep your branches for yourself.
Today I am going to ignore the rest of the Internet and sew adorable snail ornaments with embroidery on their shells 🐌
