I got lucky on the pizza delivery web site and managed to save big bucks. So I have that going for me.

Teen's school dumped bad news on me at 2:30 on a Friday and now I have all weekend to stew about it. 😔

When my 14 yo doesn't feel like I'm taking her concerns seriously, she gets anxious/depressed and starts feeling suicidal.

But if I rescue her, I fear she'll have even more trouble persevering as a young adult.

Maybe my fears are unfounded? And I should trust her more and let her decide what she needs?

But if I did that, I think she'd spend more days sleeping and playing video games than going to school.

Parenting sucks sometimes.

The hardest part about parenting IMO is when to rescue them and when to let them fail.

It was easier when they were little and I could usually err on the side of rescuing.

But now that they're teens, how much do I push? How far do I let them fall?

When do I say "I know you're tired/have a headache, stay home and nap" and when do I say "suck it up, buttercup?"

I feel like I can't win either way.

I've just about convinced myself that the answer to all my problems is a new vacuum cleaner

Apple crisp is done, chicken's in the oven, also making homemade applesauce. Plus I organized my embroidery floss.

Maybe I should make myself an apron to complete the transformation

Also the previously mentioned chicken roasting and apple crisp making. Will just embrace my middle aged momness.

Today is going to be Craft Space Cleaning Day. I've been putting it off for a long time but I can tell my husband is starting to get frustrated. Would be good to keep the peace AND get some usable space.

Tomorrow I'll roast a chicken and make an apple crisp like some sort of productive person

also I went to my team's victory parade/celebration last night and it was AWESOME. now I am sad that the season is over :-(

EMBROIDERY UPDATE: my floss arrived so now I can start my project, I am sure I will not procrastinate in any way

for example I can guarantee an exciting basketball game will not happen

instead we'll be stuck with boring baseball for 10 hours
