@ashkitten But that means someone thinks my toots are worth federating (even though I've barely tooted anything), so.. why not just follow me directly? What's the _point_, unless it's trying to suck up the entire population of another server? And in that case, that's pretty stupid. Just join that server!

@eridius @ashkitten@toot.cat Well, I don't want to join under a bunch of different accounts/servers, and keep switching back and forth, but I do want to see what's going on outside my server. So far, I like the federated feed. I'm just muting the bots.

@greermahoney Muting the bots doesn't work, because you only get followed once from a given bot, so by the time you mute it, it's already spammed you with the notification. You can't globally mute all followbots.

@eridius Oh, I didn't realize you only see it once. I'm pretty sure I've seen multiple from the same bot, but maybe I'm confused.
