@GlenMcNamee I absolutely heard someone say that!
Did somebody say "post more cats"?
@kevspace This is a newly created universe, with all your previous memories, but this one is shifted slightly to the left.
@Siphonay You do you. If it's behind tags, people don't have to look at it.
@Asbruckman Nothing really, but a similar thing happens on Twitter with people making handles like @realdonaldtrunnp and the same pictures as his real account, just as an example. It's up to the reader to verify they authenticity of the account, or at least hold a little skepticism.
I do wonder if there will be a way to verify accounts on the instances, though, because I can see your point.
@Asbruckman Since we are both on octodon.social, it shows just the first part of your username (and mine). Any other server will include the rest of the name, much like an email address - for instance, to someone on Mastodon.Social I am golero@octodon.social. As long as you keep this in mind, you can check which instance each user is from.
@souza That's really interesting! I actually used the first 2 letters of my first, middle, and last name and reordered them into a word that flowed well. Thank you for the insight :)
@souza Awesome! I am a native English speaker from smack dab in the middle of America, so I always appreciate seeing new perspectives from someone in a different part of the world. I have a coworker from Ecuador who is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and I am pretty envious of that because he can communicate in so many places I cannot.
I look forward to slowly and painfully trying to translate your eventual Portuguese toots :)
@jalefkowit I will never not read your toots in the voice of Dan Halen.
@souza What is your native language? I love how Mastodon shows multiple language toots, even if I don't understand them. It does give me incentive to learn a new language, and French seems to be pretty common on octodon.social.
@bottitytto Oh, yeah you are right. I had clicked onto the "i" button next to the browser bar on the insecure connection page and it wasn't showing the cert since I haven't accepted it yet.
@kevinmenzel Yeah! My wife and I played through a while back and got to world 7, and then we stopped playing for a bit. When we came back, we forgot where we were and had a lot of trouble beating levels. Then I noticed it was world 7 and the game expected us to be good at it by that point...which we were not due to being out of practice :)
@bottitytto Is it the tusky.keylesspalace.com site? It doesn't look like it has an SSL certificate installed at all, which adds irony to the domain being "keylesspalace.com".

@strangechain @DarwinsToffees I always thought the Internet was entirely made up of cats.
Where's all the love for BO?
@GinnyMcQueen I can't believe people think this is OK. I'm sorry there are men who think this is acceptable in any capacity. That Pepe frog on the account shows everyone what they are about, but there are some truly disgusting men out there.
If there is any positive to be found in the current web climate, it's that these people are outing themselves as the wastes of life they are and people like me are having their eyes opened to the truth of what kind of abuse women endure.
@Siphonay I think you are considered on the tail end of the millennial generation, depending on who you are talking to. The year ranges are a bit fluid, so some say 1980-1995, and others say 1985-2000.
@kevinmenzel The whistle is for scrubs, for sure.
