Just tried my hand at some #astronomy photography with my wife's DSLR. I'm still figuring out the best way to take the photos (ISO settings, delay, exposure time, and the like). It was a lot of fun though, and very relaxing.
@brwarner Nothing interesting yet, the moon was out and very bright so it limited what the camera could pick up due to the light pollution. I did find out that Steady Cam will attempt to stabilize the camera while on the tripod, which causes the long exposure to smear. Luckily, I live in rural Missouri so city lights aren't causing too much light pollution. I'm definitely going to keep refining my technique and try to get some nice photos. I hope I can capture the Milky Way at some point.
@golero Any pictures to share?
