The appropriate way to phrase this is: Twitter wants to make a Mastodon-clone. It's only fair.

LOL, even with all of the disagreements and divisions we have on the Fedi, the one thing we all agree on is fuck whatever Twitter is doing.

Hahaha, that's cool.

What are some solutions to abuse (more specifically, active content moderation) that people are working on?

In the IndieWeb, we have indieweb.org/Vouch being piloted and it’s going to be a early contender for the community.

I’m still personally interested in having something similar to akismet.com/ but for arbitrary rules one can set and share remotely to help with moderation (not with automatic banning - the chance for false positives are too high)… v2.jacky.wtf//post/7e3db626-63

Maintaining an open source project is not an easy task.

As a fediverse developer and someone who also lost a job recently, I sympathize with the Misskey developer.

Support your fellow developers, this ain't a competition ❤️

Redesigning Shiva for the new chapter of Heterodyssey.

In the previous chapter, he had just woken up from a millennia-long meditation, and was looking unkempt and scruffy, a bit rough around the edges.

But now that he is visiting Vishwakarma at the City of the Gods, he gotta look his best!

here are the stores i have atm selling my designs

teepublic (largest number of designs atm): teepublic.com/user/dikleyt

redbubble (largest number of items to get designs on): redbubble.com/people/dikleyt

designbyhumans: designbyhumans.com/shop/dikley

contrary to what i previously thought, designbyhumans isn't the cheapest; the price i was looking at was only for me.

which one is cheapest varies depending on who is having sales, etc.

So I made a debut today. On a new Medium publication called LEVEL, focused on the personal development and exploration of the interior lives of Black and Brown men. My debut essay is title “I Don’t Care My Dad Is Homeless and Has Dementia” and here’s the link for anyone who can relate or wants to read. I appreciate you all level.medium.com/i-dont-care-t

some malaphors I think about:

-we'll burn that bridge when we get to it
-if you can't stand the bull, get out of the china shop
-where there's smoke, there's mirrors
-fool me once, shame on you; teach a man to fool me, and I'll be fooled for the rest of my life
-come back to haunt you in the ass
-lets not beat around the dead horse
-beauty is in the eye of the tiger
-burning daylight at both ends
-apples to apples, dust to dust
-a stone in the hand is worth two birds in the bush

Extremely unpopular opinion among web developers I guess, but most websites should not be programs.
