Me: open-source is the best
Also me: I will die before I let anyone look at this shitty code
@annika in an old job my boss' name was the same as my deadname. It was really awkward.
@00dani I'm really glad they don't use spiro over here sounds awful.
@blinry I'm getting on a lot better on here than I ever did on the birdsite (despite not being a social media butterfly). Haven't posted there in months.
@electrotamitha geez what is office doing?
The last company I worked for had "The <company name> family" motivational posters in the meeting rooms. I was sure I would eventually get fired when they caught me singing the adams family theme song with <company name> instead of adams.
@Ehlyah me too I was on it when I first came out so it's kind of special. I finally got around to deleting my old account today (I backed up all my posts years ago).
Your probably all going to think I'm old but does anyone else really miss LiveJournal being a thing (and not being hosted somewhere talking about queer stuff is illegal).
I like it. Make Mastodon more like Tumblr, but with less fuckery from staff and less need for stuff like xKit. Yes pls, sounds good.
If people leave because all of the SJWs and queers are coming in and “spoiling” the place, GOOD.
It's 11pm here and someone's sawing wood outside :(
@blackle that toot's bringing back bad memories of missing a train to work when I first started on HRT. I was really angry and wanted to cry at the same time.
if thou are arguing that singular 'they' is incorrect, thou had better not be using singular 'you'
Wants to program my work phone to use the KSP vab music as hold music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng5NA-j7y7A
boost this toot if you're gay as hell
Been learning about how mastadon works internally and playing about with webfinger. Managed to download an atom feed of all my toots.
Uh oh someone sent me a box of masculinity again.
"Will Mastodon make any money?" scream the journalists, who have forgotten the joy of building sandcastles on the beach
perl is probably the witchiest language
you have a lot of sigils everywhere, it's old and baroque, and it can get nigh incomprehensible to read for people not well versed in it. but you can do great things with it.
intentionally multiple ways, too
